::intercalary tip::

sometimes slicing strawberries can be a little time consuming, so go the lazy route. I thank my impatience for this mini discovery, but if you use an egg slicer to slice up strawberries, you'll have nice, even cuts which makes it a lot quicker than slicing each fruit individually.

you can cut the tops off if you want, before putting it in. i usually do. it's great for layering the fruit for fillings in cakes, fruit salads, etc.

  2. actually, i did. i replaced nikki's egg slicer because i ended up breaking it on a strawberry. i bought another one, which will hopefully outlive the first. = |
